QUEENSLAND firefighters are challenging the shock sacking of a fireman who had an epileptic seizure in 2009, but had been a valued employee in other roles since.

SUNSHINE Coast firefighters have warned they may be forced to hide medical conditions for fear of suffering the same fate as a 33-year-old colleague who is being drummed out of the brigade after suffering an epileptic seizure.
