v36#15 SEPTEMBER 11 – 21ST ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIONS
In this edition - On September 11 2001, after coordinated terrorist attacks on United States soil, the twin towers of the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan collapsed. As a result, more than 2500 people were killed and many thousands more were injured, including 343 fallen comrades from the New York City Fire Department who put themselves in harm’s way to protect the lives of those victims.v36#14 QIRC LISTS DISPUTED AC APPOINTMENT HEARING DATES

In this edition - As reported in Code 2’s v36#7 and v36#9, QFES senior executives (mostly acting up in their roles at the time) failed to appropriately apply the merit principle in deciding to appoint a public servant as a regional Assistant Commissioner and then attempted to tell your union we couldn’t dispute their mistake.v36#9 QFES IN A PANIC – TRYING TO CONTROL WHAT UFUQ CAN AND CANNOT DISPUTE!

In this edition - It has come to the attention of the UFUQ state office that QFES has been going through a process of identifying a pool of ‘meritorious’ uniformed senior officers from Fire and Rescue, along with public servants and other fake firies from the remaining parts of QFES, all of whom QFES appears to be considering are able to act in senior operational and command roles.v36#5 UFUA requires an administrator to continue to function
In this edition - You may have recently heard of a federal court case brought by the UFUA to appoint an administrator to run its affairs. To better understand this case and the underlying issues, you first need to know that the UFUA is not the UFUQ nor associated with the UFUQ.v36#4 UPDATE ON CONSULTATION PROCESSES REGARDING COMMISSIONER’S CONSIDERATION OF A COVID-19 VACCINATION MANDATE
In this edition - As advised on 24 January 2022, the UFUQ state office reached out to QFES shortly after Commissioner Leach emailed all staff to advise that he is considering the possibility of introducing a covid-19 vaccination mandate to confirm no decision has yet been made on the matter and to make arrangements for consultation processes with UFUQ SCM representatives.v36#3 COMMISSIONER’S ANNOUNCEMENT ON TWO WEEK CONSULTATION PERIOD REGARDING MANDATORY COVID-19 VACCINATION
