CODE 2, VOL 36, NO 8 : 11 May 2022

UFUQ MEMBERSHIP FEES WILL NOT RISE THIS YEAR!

Towards the end of each financial year, your State Committee of Management (SCM) holds discussions regarding the membership fees paid by you and your colleagues and if an adjustment is required.

Various factors are considered by the executive in deciding on the next financial year’s membership fees.   On consideration of these factors in determining the membership fees for the 2022-2023 financial year, the State Committee has determined that due to –
• efficiencies in the way the state office industrial and administrative functions are performing, and
• ongoing savings due to the UFUQ ending its association with the UFUA, and
• increasing membership numbers (currently the highest they’ve ever been at over 2600 and growing steadily due to the 357 additional firefighters, and the number of senior officers returning to UFUQ membership).

Therefore, there will be no membership fee increase for the upcoming financial year (01/07/22 – 30/06/23).
