CA19 Update 10 - 18 october 2019

Successful yes vote!

The CA19 voting period has ended.

An impressive turnout of UFUQ members voted, and I thank you for engaging with the process and voting.

I am pleased to report that I have received official results from GoVote and overwhelmingly the response was positive.

Of the 1871 eligible members who voted, 1831 voted yes, making for a 98% YES vote.

I am glad that the proposed CA19 was well received, because the document provides many strengthened and new provisions for the benefit of all UFUQ members.

QFES as the employer will now make application for a certification hearing with the QIRC (the industrial commission).

I will report back once a hearing has been listed in the QIRC.
