Code 2 : v36#11 DAY WORK PROCESSES AND NUMBERS

In this edition - For some time, Station officers and Roster Officers in all regions have been reporting their concerns with the way the business is managing day work roles (too many day work roles, poorly managed rotation processes and cherry picking has a significant effect on availability of operational SO’s to crew appliances). In this edition - As reported in Code 2’s v36#7 and v36#9, QFES senior executives (mostly acting up in their roles at the time) failed to appropriately apply the merit principle in deciding to appoint a public servant as a regional Assistant Commissioner and then attempted to tell your union we couldn’t dispute their mistake.

Code 2 : v36# 8 UFUQ MEMBERSHIP FEES WILL NOT RISE THIS YEAR!

In this edition - Towards the end of each financial year, your State Committee of Management (SCM) holds discussions regarding the membership fees paid by you and your colleagues and if an adjustment is required.

Code 2 : v36#7 IS QFES TURNING THEIR THREE RING CIRCUS INTO A SIDESHOW ALLEY?

In this edition - It has come to the attention of the UFUQ state office that QFES has been going through a process of identifying a pool of ‘meritorious’ uniformed senior officers from Fire and Rescue, along with public servants and other fake firies from the remaining parts of QFES, all of whom QFES appears to be considering are able to act in senior operational and command roles.
